Integrated Digital Platform for the Operation and Maintenance of Floating Wind Farms

Predictive AI-Based Digital Twin
Development of a predictive AI-based digital twin that optimizes the operation and maintenance strategies of the wind farm, aiding the operator’s decision-making and reducing operational expenses (OPEX)

Eco-SOV vessel and towed vehicle (DUDONGO)
New eco-SOV vessel for the maintenance of floating offshore wind farms, featuring a reduced length (around 60 meters) and providing accessibility to the units of a floating wind farm 90% of the time. It incorporates a towed vehicle (DUGONGO), smaller than usual, for the inspection and maintenance of the cable and anchoring system.

Hybrid propulsion system
Hybrid propulsion system based on ECO fuels such as green ammonia (NH3) or green methanol

AI Predictive digital twin
The implementation of a Digital Twin of the facility, along with predictive models based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), aims to optimize operation and maintenance strategies. The development of surrogate models with deep learning (DLSM), which include Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PiNNs) and Neural Operators (NOs), for various parts of the floating structure, allows for the necessary precision and speed to estimate the service life, detect anomalies, and predict failures in an integrated manner within the digital twin.
ECO-SOV vessel
Design of an innovative SOV vessel for the maintenance of floating wind turbines with a DP-2 Intelligent positioning system .

Prototype of a towed vehicle for underwater cable inspection – DUGONGO
Incorporation into the eco-SOV vessel of a towed vehicle (DUGONGO) smaller than usual for cable and mooring system inspection and maintenance.
